OCTOBER 17 – parents – please add that day to your calendar – we will have Detective Rick Floyd here to talk with you about internet and phone safety.  Students are NOT invited to attend – it is a very important meeting for PARENTS to learn more about the dangers that lurk in the web.

There is a Student Government Meeting (SGA) Thursday Morning at 7:50 am in Mrs. Norwood’s room.

On Friday morning at 8:30, we will have our first Mocha with Merry in room 207 near the Media Center.  This is a great opportunity to have a casual time to talk with me – ask questions – network with other parents.  This is one of the best things we do – share information.  This is an important aspect of our communication at League.

Don’t forget to continue to sell chocolate and turn in the money!  Please have students drop off any chocolate money in the PTA room each morning.  Mrs. Coker will be there from 7:30 until 8 and in room 804 until 8:25.  If another box is wanted, please write your eighth period teacher’s name on the back of your turn in envelope.

Don’t forget to join PTA and pay for your agendas!

BOX TOPS:  A contest between advisory classes is underway so please start turning in your box tops to the main office or advisory teachers!  Winning advisory classes will receive ice cream treats.  Additionally, ALL students who bring in 50 box tops will earn an ice cream treat.  Please contact Magnet Coordinator Elaine Donnan for more information.

  • Early Morning Help - Don’t forget about the early bird opportunities we have in the mornings – students can be dropped off at 7:30 am.  We have teachers who are there with the following options for your children:  a place to complete homework, get help, a place to go if they need to finish typing an assignment (Ms. Patton in Lab 314), a place for Math tutoring (Mrs. Modrak in 812), and the gym for intramurals and other activities.  We want to provide every opportunity for your kids to be successful!
  • PARENT PORTAL and eFUNDS – both new services are available to parents.  You must come in to school to get your ID and password and then you can reset it to something you can remember.  There is a tremendous amount of information there for you to see.  Grades, attendance, discipline – a great way for you to keep up with your child’s progress.  The eFUNDS allows you to pay for your child’s meals on-line.  Please come in to get your password to get going on these new features provided by the district.
